FarmMind
This week's update is packed with improvements across the entire platform: from Maps page improvements to a redesigned Field Notes experience, smarter AI, more robust soil testing options, and a lot more in between.

A field split into zones with different variety tags and fertilizer rates
Divide a single field into multiple management zones without creating separate fields. Draw a split line across your field and assign different tags, like variety, to each section. Each zone maintains its own acreage calculation and metadata, and zones carry through to field notes, recommendations, and the Data Analyzer.
You can also add fertilizer costs to variable rate fertilizer maps for each zone, making it easy to compare input costs across different areas of the same field and optimize your fertility spending.
Real-time area and distance measurements while drawing and editing field boundaries
Now see real-time acreage and distance measurements as you draw or edit field boundaries. A dedicated Measurement Tool lets you measure acreage, line distances, and even count rows within a field. Supports multiple unit conversions including acres, hectares, feet, meters, miles, and more.
Need a clean, distraction-free view? Focus Mode hides all UI overlays except the essentials: your legend, visual tools, compass, and color indicator. This gives you a maximized map for field inspection, presentations, or when you just want to take it all in.
Field borders are now fully customizable. Color them by crop type, by custom tags, or set individual colors, giving you another layer of visual information on your map. Border colors appear in the legend alongside fill colors so you always know what you're looking at.
Select multiple fields and drag them to a new location all at once. Ghost outlines show original positions while you reposition, and everything syncs automatically when you drop. Great for reorganizing fields after an import or correcting placement across your operation.
A new floating, draggable legend panel makes it easy to see exactly what your field colors represent at a glance. When coloring fields by crop, tags, or custom groupings, the legend displays all active values with their corresponding colors. Toggle between split and stacked views for field fill and border colors, adjust font size, and reposition it wherever you'd like on the map.
Field Notes have received a complete UX overhaul with improved layouts, better spacing, and a more intuitive form flow. The redesign focuses on making it faster and easier to capture information in the field, with a cleaner visual hierarchy and a more responsive experience across all devices.
This is the first of a broader redesign coming to all document types across the platform to improve daily use and overall intuitiveness. We'd love your feedback! Let us know what you think at support@farmmind.org.
