How much time is wasted translating a field observation into an actionable plans? The process is often fragmented: you take a note, then hunt for a label, then cross-reference extension guidance, and finally calculate rates across every field it applies to. We want to eliminate that friction. Our mission is to embed core ag intelligence directly into the tools you use every day. That’s why we’ve now embedded our core ag intelligence directly into making every part of your scouting and planning process easier and more efficient.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Chat With Field Notes, a powerful new feature that makes our ag intelligence accessible to chat with any field note you take.

The best part? You can do this all on the go. Whether you’re using your phone in the field or your laptop back in the office, the intelligence is right there when you need it.

Example Flow using Chat with Field Notes:

Imagine you’ve just finished scouting multiple fields. You’ve identified a pest problem and already know the desired treatment, but now you need the precise application details. What before would have taken looking up labels and doing manual calculations is now a quick and easy process.

Here’s how this new integration turns a simple field observation into an actionable plan:

Step 1: Take Your Note

You start by creating a field note, referencing all the fields that share the issue. For example, let's say you have identified Mexican rice borers across several fields and know you need to apply Vantacore. You log this decision in your note.

Step 2: Talk About Your Note

Instead of opening a new browser tab to use our chat screen, or digging through PDFs, extension research, etc, you simply click the new "Talk About Note" button. When you do a pop-up appears, giving you two options. While you can ask any question about the note, we’ve created a pre-made workflow to solve one of the most most common challenges: "Find Pesticide Application Rates and Calculate Total Product"

Click this option to instantly bring you to the chat page, with all the context of your field note already loaded in.

Step 3: Get Instant, Contextual Answers

With one click, the system analyzes your note (the pest, the product, and the referenced fields' acreages) and generates a detailed response.

The AI instantly calculates the recommended Application Rate (e.g., 1.2-2.5 fluid ounces per acre) and the total product needed for the entire acreage across all the fields the note was made about (e.g., 282.34 fluid ounces for 2.0 fluid ounces per acre for 141.17 acres).

Step 4: Fact-Check and Finalize with Confidence

We know that trust is everything. That’s why the answer you receive is directly sourced and fact-checked against the most reliable information. You can review the Louisiana-Specific Response (local extension guidance) and the Labels Response (direct from the product label) to ensure accuracy. The sources are cited, and a single click takes you to the exact place in each document where the information came from, giving you full confidence in the recommendation. To add this information to the original field note, simply click the page icon with the plus sign to add this entire analysis directly to your original field note.

Step 5: Complete Your Note and Share

The AI virtual assistant-generated answer is now seamlessly integrated into your original field note as a new section. You can edit it as desired, set a location for the application, and export the full, context-rich note to share with your team or clients.

This is just the beginning. We will continue to use the ag intelligence we’ve built to integrate with every part of the FarmMind platform, making your daily workflows more efficient and allowing you to easily farmsmarter!
