Sharing
You can share fields with your organization on the FarmMind Platform. In order to share, you must first be a member of an organization AND have write access to fields for that organization. You can only share your private fields to an organization.
How to Share Fields
- Click on Select Mode and select the fields that you would like to share.
- Click on the 'Share' option in the top right.
- Select all of the organizations that you would like to share the fields to.
These fields and all of their tag data will be COPIED to the organization. Since each organization and your private mode are decoupled, changing the field in your private mode will not change it in organization mode, and are thus desynced.
After Sharing
Next time you switch to the organizations that you shared the field with, you will see the fields in that organization.
Note: Documents, visualizations, and dashboards that reference the shared fields are NOT automatically shared with the organization, and you must have write access to each resource to share.
